You are not alone.Individual counseling helps you develop the authentic you.

It takes courage to reach out for help. No one wants to be alone in life and you don’t have to deal with problems alone. Sometimes problems can be just too big to solve by yourself. We will help you determine the healthier path, define your goals, and create a unique plan.

You do not need to struggle alone. Couple counseling, sex therapy, and marriage counseling can be useful in many cases, but individual counseling is often used to assist someone struggling in one or more areas of their life. Oftentimes, individual counseling is worthwhile to help adults resolve internal conflicts, identify and address personal blind spots, improve self confidence, grow spiritually and/or emotionally, and cope with the stressors of life. Some people find themselves in a therapist’s office after a bad break-up or personal crisis. But many people seek professional support when life just doesn’t feel like it is working out so well for them. Working with a therapist does not mean that you are sick or broken — it just means that you have tried everything that you know how to try and are open to be guided by someone who has committed their professional life to working with people in this way. Individual counseling helps you develop the authentic you.

Develop the authentic you

What are your aspirations, dreams, or goals? How do you define your personal best? What is stopping you from being the healthy and authentic you?

Maximize components of communication. Express and manage overwhelming thoughts and feelings.

Align inner perceptions with outer reality. Initiate physical, emotional, and cognitive shifts.

Develop empathy and trusting relationships. Promote social, physical, mental, and emotional integration.

Manage feelings that interrupt daily living. Develop ability to recognize and name feelings.

Overcome Worry, Stress, & Fear

Do feelings of anxiety, worry, stress, or fear feel like they are taking over your life? Over 40 million people in the United States struggle with anxiety, social fears, panic attacks, intense stress, and fear of failure or fear of rejection. We can help you to improve your life, your relationships, and your future. We take a multifaceted, solutions-focused approach to anxiety that will help you take control of your life.

Anxiety & Depression

Anxiety and depression are not the normal blues or jitters that everyone experiences. The healthy and normal emotional spectrum naturally rises and falls. However, depression and anxiety are distinguished by far more severe and long-lasting symptoms. Depression and anxiety also disrupt people’s ability to function in the daily personal and professional lives and interpersonal relationships. And yet, effective treatment is attainable. Many people are reaching out to battle these symptoms and refocus their attention upon living their lives.

Move On With Your Life

Feeling stuck? Nothing you do is making a difference? Feeling a little hopeless because the same old patterns keep coming up? Tired of struggling because life has become too complicated, overwhelming, or even unfair? Feeling alone, anxious, sad, or angry is common during difficult times, and we have the effective options to help you through tough times.

Interpersonal Relationships

Interpersonal relationships are based on trust and communication. A prime aspect of communication is attentive listening. When you listen more than you talk, you have already mastered the most important part of communicating. By listening first, you can understand how the other person feels and empathize with them. Empathy builds trust. People tend to think that communication is easy and anyone can do it well. Strengthen your communication skills and improve your relationships.

Recovering from Trauma

Have you experienced a deeply disturbing experience? Perhaps you had a near-death experience, an assault, an accident, or an unexpected loss. Maybe you are reliving painful childhood memories, experiencing disturbing emotions from a difficult relationship, social rejection, or humiliation. If you are struggling to find your way through to the other side, our trauma therapists can help you find peace and healing. Past trauma can manifest itself in your life when you find yourself dwelling on something with no resolution or closure. We can help you regain stability in your life.
